This has been a very difficult week for us at church. Some friends of ours, and fellow congregants, lost their 17 year old son. It was awful news.

I wasn't supposed to be preaching today but I swapped with a friend so he could go to a baptism today. I asked God what He wanted me to preach on, before we heard the dreadful news, and he gave me Job 19:25-27.

What a powerful passage.

Well, this has been an awful seven days. I had to reapply for my own job this week and I didn't get it. Needless to say, this was a hard thing to take. I had been told, by people at work and at church, that I was a shoe in. I was held up in prayer and I felt good but it was not to be.

The thing is, I don't feel too bad about it. God is, as always, in charge of everything.

Today, I was preaching again for the first time in a while. and enjoyed it. I didn't feel that it was too good but I will leave it up to the listeners

I was preaching to day. First time in a little while as I was too busy with family sickness last time I was supposed to preach. The passage was Luke 4:1-13 and much of what I preached was based on something I wrote on here a little while ago. Hope you enjoy.

I have been listening to a lot of music recently. It helps me focus and it helps me get ready for the day. Here are a few of the songs I have been enjoying lately.
